∙ 14y agomuscles attach to tendons which attach to bones. the primary reason for muscles is to move the limbs by contracting, pulling on tendons, which in turn pulls the bones. muscles are also used to stop your bones from breaking under certain types of force (eg. shear force) by changing how the load will run through the bone.
