The short answer is to get a high. Since teens are not able to buy Alcoholic Beverages in the US and hand sanitizer contains alcohol, some teens in Los Angeles tried their hand at using salt and directions found online to separate the alcohol and the sanitizer in hand sanitizer to get a high. It backfired when they landed in the hospital with alcohol poisoning.
Very bad things, fool.
You have got to be kidding me. Getting high from hand sanitizer is one of the worst ideas. It can literally kill you. Stick to the classic illegal substances.
yes it gets you high
Hand sanitizer is made largely from alcohol. There are many forms of alcohol that are not recommended for ingestion as they have toxic effects on the system. in other words it may make you drunk but might make you blind while you are at it.
Some teenagers will do anything. Trying to get high, but this is an extremely dangerous practice and can kill you or cause brain damage.
If the alcohol content is high enough yes they can be flammable. Most however are not and use safer chemicals to sanitize.
There are different hand sanitizer formulations. Look for the active ingredient. If the label says "Ethyl Alcohol" "Isopropanol" or "Methyl Alcohol", you can be confident that the hand sanitizer will only freeze at a very low temperature (-174 degrees F.). Keep in mind that other ingredients may begin to freeze before the alcohol will. Hand sanitizers based on other active ingredients may freeze at temperatures as high as 30 degrees F.
Inhaling or sniffing hand sanitizer can be dangerous because it contains high levels of alcohol, which can irritate and damage the lining of the nose, throat, and lungs. Inhaling these fumes can also lead to symptoms like dizziness, headaches, nausea, and in severe cases, respiratory distress or alcohol poisoning.
I was already high.
