They are not. Stars are actually enormous, far larger than Earth. They appear small only because they are unimaginable far away.
Because they are so far away, they seem tiny, because of perspective.
It is closer to us than the other stars so we get a much, much larger fraction of its light compared to other stars. The other stars are so far away that even stars that are much brighter than our sun can only transmit such a small fraction of their light that the tiny fraction we get is consequently much less than the larger fraction of our somewhat dimmer sun.
We used to think that the Sun was pretty average, as stars go, but recent researches indicate that there may be more - MANY more! - of the tiny red dwarf and brown dwarf stars than previously thought. Adding so many more tiny stars will skew the average lower, and it begins to look like the Sun may be more in the "above average" category. But yes, essentially the Sun is a medium or "medium large" star.
First, the sun IS a star. And stars in the sky that we see might seen tiny but if you get close...they can be HUGE in size...even bigger that the sun. You might think the sun in big..wait until you check you VY Canis Majoris
I have very bad vision...so when I look up into the sky, the stars look like fuzzy spots. When I got glasses I looked up and there so many stars I had never even seen before...I never had known there were so many stars because I could't see them. I also noticed how tiny they were...not like the big fuzzy spots that overlapped so I couldn't tell which star was which.
No. Asteroids are tiny compared to stars.
So that planes dont crash into them
no of course not the sun looks tiny and its massive the moon looks tiny and its massive what do you think stars are then?
Eric Turner
Stars look so tiny because they are really really far away.
It is the tiny sound made when you breathe out, and it freezes and falls to the ground.
Starlings have tiny star shaped spots on their body.
No stars are actually a galaxy. All stars are stars and all galaxies are galaxies. Stars are found in galaxies. Some galaxies look like tiny dots in our night sky, so might look like a star, but they are not stars; they are galaxies.
Because they don't want to be blue tiny's.
oh plenty. From the big whales to tiny, tiny shrimps and Everything inbetween. Sharks, seals, fish, sea stars, eels...
There are other channels you get. The tiny stars on the radio represent the other channels. You got those tiny stars when you got the Exp card.
Because they are so far away.
