There is a tournament legal version of Obelisk the Tormentor, and in Japanese-only for the moment being, a legal version of Ra.
However every other God card print says "This card cannot be used in a duel", though written in Japanese on the GBI versions. As can be seen on the card, they have no rules text or way to be summoned, and have different backs to regular cards.
As of now, there are two game-legal prints of the Egyptian Gods, Obelisk and Ra. These are totally legal, and you can use 3 per deck in both formats.
Any other print of the Egyptian God cards are not legal game cards. Therefore they cannot ever be used in a sanctioned event. If you and a friend want to play a casual game and make up some rules for them, then no one can stop you doing that. But to use them against someone who has not agreed to it beforehand, would be no different to printing out custom cards and using those too.
As of 2012, there are four game-legal prints of the egyptian Gods, Obelisk, Slifer, Ra, and the creator of light Horakhty, not sure if Horakthty is legal because is type is creator god instead of divine-beast, and it is a Japan promotional card. Obelisk, slifer ,and ra are allowed 3 copy each in advance fourmate tournament and traditional formated tournament. The obelisk, slifer and ra that have the art work from the anime are not leagl for advance or traditional tournament, however does card can be used in a duel at home for fun if you opponent agrees, to know the correct effect look at yugioh wikia page of this card and scrool down until you see english anime, if you scrool down an you do not see english anime your in there leagle version, if you have any question on the ruling for the anime egyptian god card only e-mail me at nickid_2000@Yahoo.ca

The Japanese text at the bottom of the God Cards says "This card cannot be used in a duel."
no because the card says "This card cannot be used in a duel"
The Egyptian God cards do not have passcodes at the bottom-left corner of their cards. In that corner, in simply states: This card cannot be used in a Duel.
They do not have any numbers, just "This card cannot be used in a duel", in either English or Japanese, depending on version.
The Egyptian God cards (fake versions, or any fake card) can be used for fun, but not for any legitimate duel in a tournament or if your opponent refuses to accept them being played (for fun).
There are no numbers at the bottom of the Egyptian God Cards. They just say 'This card cannot be used in a duel', in either English or Japanese.
Sorry but the Egyptian God cards (Obelisk the tormentor, Slither the Sky Dragon, The Winged Dragon of Ra) Do not have a code, in place of the code it states that this card can not be used in a duel. Trust me im telling you the truth i have all 3 of the Egyptian God Cards.
The god cards are the most powerful cards you can play with. Since Ra is the Strongest and of all Egyptian Gods ,the answer is YES. The Winged Dragon Of Ra is the strongest god, the strongest monster. Unfortunately, the god cards Cannot be used in a duel, due to their tremendous powers. Not exactly, it's that they were never legal. The GBI cards are Asian-English, meaning they aren't legal at all, not to mention they have no game text, and their backs are different to other cards. There is an 'English' print of the cards, the DOD, JUMP, YMA trio, all clearly say the cards cannot be used in a duel. The GBI versions say the same thing, just in Japanese.
Yes. You can. A "fun" duel is for "fun" and if your opponent agrees feel free to use it.Just make sure you ask your opponent first. Although most people will not allow you to use them as it gives an unfair advantage. but u cant use them in proper tournament though
The Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Disks were built specifically to accept the cards, with no "wiggle room", therefore sleeves cannot be used effectively with a Duel Disk.
Players may use the God cards in casual Duels (however, it would be wise if effects were agreed upon prior to the Duel if you are using the tournament-illegal versions). You may NOTuse these cards in officially sponsored Duels or tournaments (tournament-legal versions may be used).
