There is nothing against wearing mixtures of cotton and linen for Jewish people.

However, there is a biblical prohibition called Sha'atnez prohibiting wearing clothes that contain a mixture of wooland linen.

Deuteronomy 22:11: Thou shalt not wear a garment of diverse sorts, as of woollen and linen together.

because god made some commandments that we don't understand but just have to follow them... my teacher told me a story how this family did not check they're coat for wool and linen and the person who was wearing it got cursed for 7 years .
