The conflict starts with Grover getting trapped in the sea of monsters(the Bermuda triangle). Percy, Annebeth, and Tyson(also Percy's step brother) Go and save Grover, but have to battle a Cyclops. The Council didn't think that Grover passed his test to deliver a half-blood safely to Camp Half Blood.
