At the surface:
1) The temperature can reach up 450°C
2) There is no oxygen.
3) The pressure is ninety times as great as on Earth.
== == While the temperature and pressure on the surface are far just too great for colonization, there is an area 50km above the surface where the temperature and pressure are Earth-like, the winds circle the planet in 100-hour "days", and the gravity is just less than earth-like. Because the gases there are heavier than Earth's atmosphere, there is the possibility of "floating cities" kept in place and following the prevailing winds much like present day hot air balloons.
Your bubble wouldn't need to be incredibly strong, but it would need to be resistant to sulfuric acid. And you would need oxygen and food starting with materials shipped form Earth. In return, you could use abundant solar energy and sulfuric acid as resources for your own industries.
See the Wikipedia article on the Colonization of Venus for more information.
It is to hot in the day time and way to cold in the night
we can't live on Mercury because it is either way too hot or too cold, depending on location, as well as having no atmosphere, and no air. it has no oxygen, carbon, anything. and any gases we put on it would evaoprate into space because, again, mercury has no atmosphere. it also has no water.
I wouldn't say can't; we could live on Mercury if we really wanted to, but it would be very expensive. Mercury is excessively hot, and has no atmosphere. We would need to take our own air with us and have really good air conditioning systems, among other problems.
The planet Mercury? The first thing that comes to my mind is the temperature: -183 °C to 427 °C but you can read some more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_(planet)

Extreme temperatures and a lack of atmosphere.
we cannot liv on mercury because it does not have live
We can not live on Mercury and Venus because they are to close to the Sun, and because they don't have the same atmosphere like we do here on earth.
The Romans meant she lived in her temples.
no people cant live in jupiter because the wind is to hard and fast.
Yes you could live on Venus for a day but you would have to prepare for it you would have to send a plant called aglee to venus that would suck up all the carbon and let out oxygen then after that most of venuses heat could escape than rain could come and create oceans and eventully the clouds might move out of the waty and than the sun could shine on Venus
MARS!uranusMercury... compare pictures of it with the other planets ..
The ability to live
NO u cant live on venus because it has no oxygen....
no we cant as we have lungs and fish have gills...
Venus has no liquid water and is far too hot to support life.
if you go to mars it will be very bad for you because it take many time to rotate once,,,,and venus is closer to earth so its better.
The atmoshere is 96.5% carbon dioxide which isn't good for breathing, the surface temperature is too hot to be able to live on too (863.3F).
Hi its Lisa i cant tell you guys where we live but i will give you our fan number. 0439531887.:)
No they cant because they are living on food that you give them and once they are released they cant survive
no because fish cant even fly
what layer does the Venus fly trap live in
No. Venus is far too hot.
LA, but for privacy reasons are unable to give out address. Below is a photo of it.
No, you cannot live on the planet Venus. Venus is the second closest planet to the sun which means that the environment is extremely hot and unbearable for any type of life to live on it.
