In solids and liquids the molecules are already very close together so they can't be squeezed together much more than that. In a gas molecules are very spread out so they can be compressed.
Why cant you comprss solids and liquids?
You can
it is a gas
That depends on the relative densities of the solid and the liquid. If the solid is denser than the liquid, the solid will sink. If the liquid is denser, the solid will float.
gas -> liquid = condensation liquid -> solid = solidification (freezing) solid -> gas = sublimation gas -> solid = deposition solid -> liquid = melting liquid -> solid = vaporization
To get a solid to a liquid you have to apply heat and melt it, and to get a liquid to a gas it has to evaporate. If you are talking about a solid going into a gas, then I don't know.
liquid to solid
One property of liquids is that, unlike gases, they cannot be compressed.No. It is not dense enough.
it is a solid because its not a liquid for sure and a gas cant hold a gas.
it is a solid because its not a liquid for sure and a gas cant hold a gas.
Frost is ice so stuff cant go through it so its a solid == ==
you cant.
yes! i believe so.. it cant be a liquid! and it cant be a gas! soooo the final answer is? YES! A SOLID IS CORRECT! its a liqud, its a gas, ITS A SOLID!
a solid is a hard piece of something which particles are stuck together but shake an u cant poor a solid out from a cup like a liquid.
I am sure it is a solid because you cant pour it so it is not a liquid and it is not a gas because you can't see a gas and you can see bicarbonate of soda.So it has to be a solid.
liquid
solid
It is different because, liquid water can (and will) take the form of the container it is in. We can also change the form of liquid water, unlike solid ice. Solid Ice wont take the form of the container it is in and we cant change its form without breaking it.
