The Lateral Collateral Ligament
An acrocoracohumeral ligament is a ligament which connects the humerus to the shoulder joint.
YES! There are at least 5 that I am aware of as a 1st year Physio student. They are: - iliofermoral ligament -ischiofemoral ligament -pubofemoral ligament -ligament of head of femur -transverse acetabular ligament
ligament
That is the correct spelling of "sprain" (an over-stretched ligament or muscle).
I'm guessing an avulsion fracture. It's when a ligament tears off part of a bone.
a sprained ligament is when something in your body stretched out too much and if the individual walks on it the injury might get worse by inflammation.
A sprain is an overstretched or torn ligament. A stretched ligament will remain stretched. It happens when undue tension is placed upon the ligament. A ligament can stretch to only about 6% of its length before it snaps. A partially torn ligament will slowly repair itself. The process is slow because the ligaments are poorly vascularized. When a ligament is completely torn, it requires surgical intervention. If left untreated, an inflammation of the surrounding joint will break down surrounding tissue and turn the injured ligament into 'mush'. It is a very difficult procedure. An important ligament that is severely damaged must be removed and replaced with a graft or a substitute ligament. ( ex: tendon from a muscle or woven collage bands can be stapled to the articulating bones)
A sprain is an injury on a ligament. A ligament is what connects bones together. A ligament greats sprained when being stretched too far from its normal position. Ligaments are located in the ankle, knee, and wrist.A strain is when you injure a muscle or a tendon. Muscles make it to where you can move your skeleton in various ways.
It is true! When too much force is applied to a ligament, such as in a fall, the ligaments can be stretched or torn; this injury is called a sprain-kj
