First, the name of the show is the Bold and the Beatuiful and after 25 years of playing the part of Ridge Forrester Ronn Mudd decided to leave. He was one of the original cast members left on the show. It could be he wanted to move on to other things, retire, or the producers wanted a younger man in the part.

No New answer I don't think it's going off the air any time soon. Some main characters (Suzan Flanerly aka Stephanie Forrester and Ron Moss aka Ridge Forrester) are leaving the show (Ridge left Brooke when he found out Brooke was lying about text messages to her ex) but Catherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) has signed on to be Brooke Logan for another 2 years. Also a few other characters that have been away for a while (Felicia and Catherine Forrester) are comming back as Stephanie is dying of lung cancer. So Bold and Bealutiful is probably going to be on the air for a few more years.
