In otherwords, a cat unlike Mudclaw/Tigerstar/etcetera.

Leopardstar chose Mistyfoot as her deputy because she saw her as a loyal, capable warrior who had proven herself numerous times in service to RiverClan. Mistyfoot's strong leadership qualities and dedication to her Clan made her a suitable choice to support Leopardstar in leading RiverClan.

∙ 13y agoBluestar chooses Fireheart after Tigerclaw because in the third book in the warrior series, Fireheart saves her life from Tigerclaw. Also because he is very loyal to the clan and in the first book in the warrior series, Spottedleaf said "Fire alone will save our clan" and Bluestar named Rusty firepaw because she knew he would save the clan!
