Why did Henry Ford make Fords?

1.Because most models were complicated and it required a chauffer, So Henry decided to build something an average American could afford.....and to build something simple, and reliable.

2.Most probably because he was just as curious and hungry for knowledge as you and I are. Only he was a most talented person and a businessman too and went a few steps further than us all.

He also said and wrote many interesting things. Here is just one of them:

Henry Ford became a wealthy industrialist by adopting the factory assembly line, and mass-production. But his initial occupation was a machinist, and his role in automobiles was the design and construction of racing cars.

His first attempt at manufacturing cars was the Detroit Automobile Company (1899-1901), which failed. His second attempt with the same partners, the Henry Ford Company, resulted in too many disagreements -- when Ford left, it became the Cadillac Automobile Company. His third attempt, a partnership with a Detroit coal dealer in 1902, was successful. The company known as Ford & Malcomson was renamed Ford Motor Company in 1903.
