Katniss didn't want to wait for Cato she was stuck on top of the Cornucopia with Peeta, because she was scared to get down while thee mutts or mutant wolves of the dead tributes made by the gamemakers tried to tourcher Cato to death slowly. Would you want to get down in the middle of that mess

∙ 12y agoKatniss was stuck at the top of the Cornucopia with Peeta, and she didn't want to risk killing Cato while there were three mutts still down there, ripping him apart. However, she kills him, when she sees his eyes asking her to, just to put him out of the pain he was in.
