Why did Ted Bundy kill all these women?
Bundy said that he was the kind of man who was born to kill. That was his only explanation.
Bundy contained his killing to the US. As to the total number of victims, it may never be known. Bundy refused to give an accurate total before his execution in January of 1989.
The states where it is certain he did kill are Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Colorado, Utah and Florida. It is possible that he also killed in California, New York, Pennsyvania and possibly other states. Bundy took the knowledge of of additional murders with him to the electric chair. We may never know the names of all of his victims.
This is a question that may never have an answer. Bundy never did give up all the names of his victims. When he was 14 and a paperboy, a young girl in his neighborhood went missing and was never seen again. Most experts seem to agree that this was Bundy's first kill. But its a very old case and Bundy has been gone since 1989, so to try to prove the first kill theory would… Read More
Ted Bundy didn't think his mind was mess up and he thought he was smart. He defended himself in his case after firing his lawyer. That is a fool or stupid thing to do. He was also caught for speeding. No speeding, he would be still free. The Macdonald triad is a set of three behavioral characteristics that are associated with sociopathic behavior. Ted Bundy had all those characteristics.
It has been sealed for the fear of anyone trying to duplicate his wit! Beleive me he was the best, bundy and ed kemper had a scary grip on reality, or as experts put it consious killers!
Bundy refered to this 'other self' as The Entity. The Entity committed all the murders, the monster inside himself. He had a strange way of speaking in the third person. So this lets Ted off the hook and he could still look at himself and think he was a great guy.
Bundy had several scrapes with the law. Theft, illegal entry into neighbor's homes, peeping tom. In hindsight it all makes sense. He had many of the warning signs common with killers.

What other mental illness did Ted Bundy and Charles Manson and Richard Speck and Jeffery Dahmer have besides AntiSocial Personality Disorder?
They are all sociopaths or psychopaths.
Many people think that serial murder is about sex and in fact sexual violence is a factor for a large number of these types of killers. But what most serial murder is about is power and control. This power is the true reason that these killers do what they do. Ted Bundy summed it up nicely. He loved to watch the life go out of his victim's eyes. For those few moments Bundy was in… Read More
Besides Herbie The Love Bug, Ted Bundy's Volkswagon Bug is probably the best-known Bug in the world. The famous Bundy Bug with the passenger seat removed now resides at the National Museum of Crime and Punishment, on display for all to see. The car, a 1958 model was purchased by Bundy as a college student for $400. The car still retains its 'tan' color and all original rust spots.
After the abduction of two young women in one day at Lake Sammamish in Washington state the police had a decent description and a possible name to go on. 'Ted' had been seen by enough people that day to give investigators a suspect. They also had a description of Ted's car, a tan Volkswagon Bug. At that time Seattle police were interviewing hundreds of possible suspects but virtually all had been cleared one way or… Read More
There is no doubt that 'Stephanie' was Bundy's first love. But because he did have APD (anti-social personality disorder) the crush was all about him. After she broke it off with Bundy they reunited briefly. They became engaged and then Bundy broke it off, but he was cruel to her. He wanted to become engaged so he could break it off in a bad way, for revenge. As Bundy sat on Florida's death row he… Read More
Louise Bundy believed her son to be innocent of all or most of the crimes he was convicted of. Right up to the night before his execution. Their last conversation was just hours before he sat in Florida's electric chair, when her son finally confessed his guilt in the murders of dozens* of young women in at least 5 states. I consider Bundy's family, especially his mother, another victim. *Although he confessed to about 35… Read More
Currently Bundy is in no stage of development or anything else. He was executed January 24, 1989. While he was alive, though, he had relatively no moral development at all. As is true of many people with APD (anti-social personality disorder) they don't possess a conscience which means they are completely devoid of any moral issue.
Bundy is believed to have killed in at least seven states with countless police agencies across the U.S. It is impossible to name all who were involved in his case. It should be noted however, that Bundy was prosecuted only for the murders he committed in Florida, and in fact went to the electric chair for the death of his last victim, 12 year old Kimberly Leach.
He did. But there is still debate as to which disorders. Several psychologists claimed Bundy was manic depression while others say he suffered from ASPD (anti-social personality disorder). I believe the most accurate is as follows: Classified as High Factor 1 Psychopath, characterized by a grandiose sense of self, pathological lying, conning-manipulative behaviors, lack of remorse, lack of empathy and failure to accept responsibility. From all I have read about Bundy the High Factor 1… Read More

A brief description of the women of Maycomb in the book, To Kill A Mockingbird is all the women had the best interest of others at heart. Especially, people whom were less fortunate.
Necrephilia, a sexual disorder present in some serial killers such as Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer, is not totally understood, but in the case of these killers it is thought that it is a matter of control. In simplistic terms, sex with a corpse leaves all control with the living participate, since a corpse has no will or desires of their own. Bundy, as a killer, is still not totally understood. He was an intelligent… Read More
No possibility at all, for many reasons. The Zodiac's crimes included several murders in southern California. Cheri Jo Bates, a Riverside College student was found murdered on the morning of October 31, 1966. Bundy was in Washington state, about 1,200 miles from Riverside. But there is a more obvious descrepancy between the two killers. Bundy's criminal MO and signature are polar opposites of the Zodiac's. Bundy targeted lone females of college age. Zodiac usually attacked… Read More

In this case, it does not. The reason the DNA comparision did not result in a 'smoking gun' pointed right at Bundy was contamination of the Burr samples. The evidence being decades old had been handled by untold numbers of hands over the years. So although this doesn't convict Bundy, it most certainly does not exclude him either. The cold case detectives should pursue an impeachable DNA sample from Burr, such as hair with the… Read More

Ann Marie Burr was eight years old at the time of her disappearance on August 30, 1961. Many feel it is too much of a coincidence that the Burr's home in Tacoma WA crossed paths with a 14 year old paperboy named Ted Bundy. Bundy denied it, Bundy's mother denied it, and even the Burr's had doubts that Bundy was responsible. Here are the facts related to Burr's abduction. Just hours before Bundy died in… Read More

It's important to understand how killers like Bundy operate. All of their lives they have 'dual' lives in a way. The one that nobody sees until its too late, and the one they show to the world. The one that enables them to walk among the masses, their true self hidden. They need this cover. Without it they would not be able to do what they do, which is kill. Nobody in their right mind… Read More

It probably didn't hurt. Although Bundy was crafty and pretty slick all on his own, degree or not. He was very cocky prior to the death sentences and even thought it a good idea to be his own attorney. He was actually only a first year law student before dropping out and became a killer on a full-time basis.
i think the real question is... who is Ted? the answer is... ted is a female lawyer who works for a teddy bear company... i say this in all seriousness

In 1980 the prosecution used teeth-mark evidence to convict Ted Bundy for 3 murders he committed in Florida. This jury felt with this and all the other evidence that Bundy was the killer. How much did the state of Florida reportedly spend to administer justice to serial murderer Ted Bundy?

What if we knew far in advance which kids could turn out to be serial killers when they grew up? If you knew when Ted Bundy was a toddler that he was going to grow up to murder young women, do you think that we would have a better chance to prevent him? The trouble with this theory is that not all serial killers follow the same exact pattern . There are, however, a number… Read More
