Some people are just like that. Maybe she enjoyed manipulating you, maybe she gained something from it, or maybe it wasn't entirely her. I don't really know what 'proved' it to you, and it doesn't really matter - the best thing you can do for yourself is to let her go and move on. Otherwise, if she really is this horrible person you make her out to be, then she continues to have power over you. Bad relationships happen - it's a simple albeit unfortunate fact of life. Live, learn, cope.
