They will if you cut it up REAL small. i have 2 parakeets & they love food everytime we feed the big birds their meals they have to get fed too so that's not true they will eat them.

Your parakeet may not be eating the food you give it because the food is not the same as the previous owner has given it, if it had a previous owner.

∙ 14y agoIf he is puffed up, is hot, and will not eat, he is probably sick. He will usually get over it in about 5 or 6 days. Hope this helps.
