They will if you cut it up REAL small. i have 2 parakeets & they love food everytime we feed the big birds their meals they have to get fed too so that's not true they will eat them.

My parakeets love to eat, maybe it's sick or maybe it's bored of the food. I suggest buying the bird food from Target. Made by national geographic

If he is puffed up, is hot, and will not eat, he is probably sick. He will usually get over it in about 5 or 6 days. Hope this helps.
