The Roman Emperor Theodosius I the Great [Θεοδόσις Α' ο Μέγας] who made the Nicene Christianity the official religion of the state at 380 AD/ CE was the one who issued a decree with which the Olympic games were terminated in the ancient times at 393 AD/ CE.
