Do you mean the CHECK FUEL CAP light ? - fuel cap may not be installed properly ,and the FUEL RESET light means that the fuel pump inertia switch in the right front passengers footwell , by the kick panel has tripped and needs to be reset - if you don't see any gas leaking or smell gas and the button on top of the switch has popped up , push it down to reset the switch , turn the ignition key to the RUN position for a few seconds , shut the key off and recheck for any leaks / gas smell

Sorry , there isn't a reset button - you have to have the Explorer scanned to find the trouble code(s) that caused the check engine light to come on . The problem has to be repaired before the check engine light can be turned off by using the OBD II scan tool
Your check engine light will not come on in the auxilary (accesory) position. It comes on when the key is in the on (run) position to check the warning lights just before you start the vehicle.

There is o fuse for the check engine light. The check engine is controlled by the cars computer the only way to turn it off is to fix the problem that made it come on.
