Why did they cancel the show robot wars?

Because people made robots that where to strong to be destroyed.

^ Rather, they were made ridicuously dangerous. Wheely big cheese could flip 100kg robots out of the arena and hit the polycarbonate guards protecting the audience, probably even break them. Multiple robots with spinning blades found it easier to destroy the arena walls, and Razer even managed to cause some serious damage to Matilda.

And I seriously doubt series 8 will be released, it was cancelled early 10 years ago.

Because it was a very dangerous game show. So it was considered inappropriate for viewers.
