∙ 12y agoThe company who made Titanic built it because the wanted to break a record. Another company broke a record for the fastest ocean liner; so the White Star company decided to make the largest most luxurious ocean lines of them all.

Titanic hit an iceberg, got badly damaged and eventually sunk.
WHile there were elements of pride, poor judgement and human error involved, ultimately it was an accident.
