His evidence was good.
i.e. continental fit across the Atlantic
Multiple species matches (best of which where shallow water or terrestrial where it was infeasible for them to cross such a large water mass)
Mountain ranges fitted together both sides of the Atlantic
One reason people didn't believe Alfred Wegener's theory of continental drift was because he couldn't provide a plausible mechanism for how the continents moved. Additionally, Wegener's evidence was mostly based on geological and paleontological similarities between continents, which was not considered sufficient proof at the time. The scientific community also generally resisted accepting radical new ideas, and many scientists were reluctant to challenge the prevailing belief in static continents.
One reason the scientific community doubted him was because he wasn't able to come up with an explanation for how the continents were moving, & where the force to move them was coming from.
people in 1915 thought that he was crazy, and back theen they didn't have the technology to support Wegner's idea.
some people didnt believe alfred wegener because he didnt have all the info the scientist wanted. like if they asked him a question about his theory on pangea and he didnt know then how could he have the evidence on the continental drift so yeah if they asked him a question he wouldnt know and thats what my collage teacher said but im now in university and not studing that so :)
There are people who don't believe global warming is happening. There are people who believe it is happening but don't believe that humans are causing it.There are people who believe all the climate scientists who believe it is happening and that we are causing it.
Most people believe in the greenhouse effect, which is how the earth has kept warm enough for life for millions of years. Some people don't believe that global warming is happening. These (sweepingly) are sometimes the same people who do not trust their government and who do not believe that smoking causes cancer.
they though he was crazy and became his critics
He Worked At Making People Believe That He Wasn't Crazy.
it makes sences
because they had no way of explaing how the continents could move

Alfred Wegener's theory of Pangaea was met with skepticism because he lacked a mechanism to explain how the continents could move. Additionally, the scientific community at the time favored the theory of fixed continents and seafloor spreading had not been discovered yet to support continental drift. Wegener's lack of expertise in geology and his presentation of the theory in non-scientific publications also contributed to the disbelief.
its not that they started to believe him after he died its just that it was only proved to be true in 1950-60 when the mid-atlantic ridge was discovered and researched to prove his theory to be true This is a grammar failure:(
alfred packer didnt really eat people he killed bell because bell came after alfred with a hatchet so alfred shot him and ate the meat or he would starve to deth
One reason the scientific community doubted him was because he wasn't able to come up with an explanation for how the continents were moving, & where the force to move them was coming from.

He invented nitroglycerin - explosives - kill people
