Why didn't the dinosaurs enter the Ark?

It needs to be clearly understood that many dinosaurs died in the global flood of Noah's day. Secondly, it is also highly likely that there were representative kinds of dinosaurs, most likely young specimens, taken aboard the ark. There is absolutely no reason to assume that they weren't taken aboard, as they would have been included in the 'two of every kind' that God brought to Noah, to preserve genetic diversity on the earth.

Also, it must be remembered that the climate of the earth underwent drastic change due to the processes associated with the flood, including the ice-age which followed it. As a part of this process, the dinosaurs which went off the ark most likely then became extinct. It is interesting to note in this connection, the widespread existence of 'monster' or 'dragon' accounts, commonly interpreted as legends among many of the people groups of the earth, including in China and some quite recent accounts from England.

So, to quite simply summarize the answer: Noah took dinosaurs on the ark. Secondly they became extinct afterwards, in the drastically altered post-flood environment.

They must have been on the ark probably as adolescents to compensate for their size.

According to The Bible, dinosaurs did enter the Ark. God instructed Noah to bring seven pairs of all birds along, and birds are in fact dinosaurs. Non-avian dinosaurs were not addressed in the story of the Flood because dinosaurs hadn't been discovered at the time the Bible was written.

The last of the dinosaurs became extinct 64 million years ago. This was long before the time Noah is said to have lived, so he never met one and could not have saved the dinosaurs. But there was no Flood - the legend can be seen to be based on the Gilgamesh Flood legend of an even older civilisation.
If Noah had really taken 2 of every animal on every continent in the world, that would have meant collecting literally millions of specimens, to save every species and subspecies of monotreme, mammal, reptile, bird, insect and parasite alive today. Then return them all to the correct location on every continent and island. Also, the ancients apparently didn't know that plants would drown too. So, the Bible did not require Noah to collect seeds and spoors from millions of species and subspecies of trees, plants, ferns, grasses and so on, documenting exactly where each came from, then after the Flood going back to each location throughout the world, to plant and care for each seed until it was viable.

Or, we could say that the Flood was only local. We do know from Egyptian records that the Egyptian civilisation continued undisturbed right through the period when the Flood was supposed to have occurred, so that does prove that the Flood did not reach Egypt (and therefore Africa). But if there was a Flood, one must wonder why Noah didn't simply walk to safety in Egypt rather than going to the trouble of building an ark and collecting the millions of animals, birds, lizards, insects and so on.
