If your nightmares keep reoccurring, they are trying to tell you something important. Recall the people and/or animals in your dream and ask yourself, "Who do they look like that I know in real life?" If they don't look like anyone you know, ask yourself, "Whose personality is their personality most like?" Once you match up the people, take notice of the things that these people do in your dreams. For example: One leaves on a train as he/she waves goodbye. That would probably mean that the person they represent in real life will leave you. Ask yourself, "What are their actions trying to tell me?" Remember this, the reason that your brain dreams is because it is either trying to tell you something or entertain you. So be aware of all of your dreams and try to figure out what they mean.
Recurring dreams often refer to problems the dreamer is trying to avoid in real life, or a situation that needs resolved. Once the problem is solved or the situation confronted and dealt with, the recurring dreams will end.
> It is also important to understand that dream images are symbols representing other things. The dream images should not be taken literally. For example, a monster in the nightmare might represent an angry parent, overly strict teacher or one's own guilty conscience.
