for Microsoft Word 2007 Go to start button of Microsoft word click Word option menu which is display below the close option ->then select display -> uncheck the show all formatting marks option. you can solve your problem.
go there : C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Messenger\name@hotmail.com\ObjectStore\UserTile they are stored there..you have to copy them and paste to desktop. then change their name to name.jpg and will converted to jpg file! :P

Do you see the hyperlink (blue and underlined) or do you see the field code (black text inside curly braces like {HYPERLINK etc.} )? If it's the field code, press Alt+F9 to toggle to the result -- does that fix it? But by doing this you will remove your hyperlink...if you want that ur hyperlink stays then you will need to go to circle with the office logo at the top left corner...at the bottom u will see word options click on that and go to advanced and scroll down to the "Show document content" section. Right above the "Field shading" box, there is an option that says, "Show field codes instead of their values." If that has a check next to it, unclick it and hit OK, and your hyperlinks will return to normal in your Word documents. There you have it! Problem solved.

You can set it to display as a watermark. That will wash it out, because it is trying to make the picture light enough to display in the background, behind the text.
