All of u are wrong Baboons have colored bottoms because they are extremely territorial, meaning, its easier to distinguish primate species from there own, since there eyesight is incredibly poor. In reguard to this, they identify there own species using these bright colors. Colors are easier to identify rather than a shapeless blob. There hunting techniques are based on spotting prey in motion. If it does not have color, is considered prey. Which is also why they are such vicious creatures. They never know what there getting ready to try & aggressive and brutal

it is because where they sit on their bottoms, alot, the hair gets rubbed off and the sun burns it to make it red. Sad, but true...
