Most of the time there a nuts on the battery terminals , you only have to loosen them up and pull on the terminals away from the battery, they should pop right off afterwards.

Remove the battery cover. (It will be on the right/passengers side of the bike.) The two terminals will be exposed. Simply hook your charger up to the terminals and wait until it is fully charged.
More than likely you have corrosion at the terminals. Clean the battery terminals and then recharge the battery and see what happens.
your battery terminals may have battery acid build up between the terminals and battery posts, remove both terminals and clean with boiling water refit terminals and try to start again...same thing happened to me once...
