Lizards will sometimes wag there tails because of agitation, but usually they will only do it because of excitement (kind of like a dog) like if there is food in the cage lizards wag there tail before they strike prey.

∙ 14y agoJust as a dog the tail of a reptile is a sign of moods.The tail going up while hunting has never really happened to my bearded dragon.If its young he could be excited.If its an adult i have no clue.
