First, it is arguable whether a bee knows it will die if it stings you: a bee's brain is not large enough for there to be any logical thought and reasoning. They react purely on instinct.
Secondly, a bee's sting is really evolved to deal with other insects, and when a bee stings another insect it creates a hole in the other insect's hard exoskeleton and has no problem withdrawing the sting through the hole. When a bee stings an animal or human, mammalian skin is elastic and closes around the string, trapping it. If you have the nerve to keep still when stung, the bee will go round and round, effectively 'unscrewing' the sting from the skin and will eventually get free unharmed. It is only when the bee tries to pull the sting out in panic that the sting breaks away from the rear end of its abdomen causing injuries that lead to its death.
depending on what type of bee it is vairies
i gotten stung by a yellow jacket on my foot and there was a little spot or bump and then gradually a smaller in bumpyness but bigger in size idk if that makes since but anyways it was really red and was there for maybe a week or few days and was very very very itchy:(
Female worker honey bees have a barbed stinger. When she stings a mammal with relatively elastic sting, it becomes impossible for her to remove the barbs from the skin. She will keep pulling until eventually the stinger and poison sac are left behind with a part of her abdomen and digestive tract still attached. The bee will then fly off to die. The larger male drone bees don't have stingers and the queen bee has a smooth stinger and can sting a mammal multiple times. The honey bee is the only bee to die after it stings.
because they feel threatened and have a need to protect themselves. hope this helps :)
The bees die because your ripping their stinger out plus all of their organs.
So, ya, they die a pretty gruesome death.
Honey bees do. Bumble bees do.
No, they do die when stinging people, not like animals.
Honey bee workers are the only ones that have barbed stings. If they are unable to withdraw the sting after stinging they will leave it behind. This causes severe internal injuries and the bee will die from those injuries. All other bees have smooth stings and have no difficulty withdrawing them. An additional point is that it is only the females that sting, not the males. The sting is a modified ovipositor (egg laying tube), an organ that males do not have.
yes, because of body damage after stinging
a bee stinging
Only honey bee workers die after stinging because they lose their barbed sting in the victim. Honey bee queens and all bumble bees have smooth stings and can withdraw them and will survive.
free bee
Sounds like the "Irish Zebra Bee" to me.
Free-bee
it give it more speed
wasp
Yes, after stinging, a honeybee dies from a massive abdominal rupture. It does not easily separate itself from its stinger, which has two barbed lancets. As a honeybee pulls away from its stinger, parts of its digestive tracts, muscles, and nerves separate traumatically from its abdomen.Only honey bee's do.Only honeybees die when they sting. This is because of the shape of their stinger. Other bees such as bumble bees can sting multiple times. If you are stung by a honey bee, the bee will die. If you are stung by a wasp, it lives on to sting another day.
It is called free bee.
