Could be a number of things... like do they just quit when ur going down the road... when the wiring gets hot the switch that turns the light on and off has a fuse, something like a house, when it gets to hot it will kick off and when cool down it will come on, could be a bad switch, or a problem in the wiring... if it just wont come on could be ground, switch, or dimmer switch.
It's rare its a bad fuse, headlight switch,or wiring inless you smelled or seen smoke coming from the dash area. If you did then you have a short in the wiring or a bad headlight switch- every time i have fixed this kind of problem it has only been the high beam / low beam switch. Locate the high/low switch, most are on the sterring column under the dash. Ford trucks are left side of the floor board. Pull the (3) wire harness out the switch. Get a jumper wire and connect to the center of the harness to either side of the harness- one side will be high beam the other will be low beam, then turn on your headlight switch and test.... the headlights should turn on. note: do not leave jumper wire its just a test - turn off the headlight switch, replace the high/low beam switch and plug your harness and your done.
If you put the bulbs in at the same time, they would die out at the same time.
A reset button for headlights?
Dead short causing circuit breaker to open? Bad switch? Bad relay? Bad bulbs?
If both stopped at same time check the fuse box. Its marked on back of panel. 80% sure its a fuse. If u change it n it pops again u hav a wire groundin out somewhere
Yes it could.
Stop the car in a safe place at night. Put the car into neutral and apply the handbrake. Switch on the headlights. Get out of the car and look to see that the headlights are working.
i was driving in the rain last night my headlights and wipers quit working and i stop the car for 15 minutes and they starting working again and they are still working what could have cause this my car is 2002 cavalier
Could be a fuse if both stopped working. or a wire ,both windows are hooked up to same wire.
Your vacuum system has a leak. If both of your doors stopped working at the same time, I would check up stream from the actuators. Check out docrebuild.com for diagrams and the parts.
Nope
The headlights in the Ford F150 may have stopped working due to a bad fuse or bulb. Check these and if it doesn't fix the problem visit a mechanic.
cruise control does not work when headlights are on
