Why do dogs eat frogs?

Only some will because frogs and toads look appealing and they stir up a hunter's instinct in the canine, although most frogs and toads are poisonous to dogs and other mammals and their skin secretes a very bitter chemical that will make the dog drop the frog almost immediately.
