guinea pigs squeak when your holding them and there are no other guinea pigs in the house because they get lonely and even a bit scared so they squeak trying to get comfort or even just to talk.
I used to have guinea pigs to, and they do just squeak on and on forever intill u guve them food, but then after, they squeak again. What I've thought is that's just their way of talking to each other.
If it's teeth clicking you hear, he is very mad and ready to bite you. They usually only make this sound as a warning that they are feeling threatened. Remove the threat, and pet him until he is calm.
Actually, guinea pigs have a wide range of what are called "vocalizations." They cannot talk like humans, but they can use various noises to make you aware of their emotional state. The squeak, which also sounds like a high-pitched squeal, can demonstrate excitement-- you might hear it when the guinea pig thinks it's about to be fed or is ready to play; but if it's very sharp, sudden, and high-pitched, it may mean your guinea pig is afraid or upset. Other common sounds are purring-- if it's a deep sound like a cat, it can signify happiness or contentment; a shorter and higher-pitched purr shows nervousness. A hissing sound represents anger, especially if the guinea pig is also showing its teeth. There is also a chirping sound some guinea pigs make, but scientists are not entirely certain what it represents-- possibly sadness, or uncertainty.
Well, it could mean lots of things it could be unhappy, angry, scared or sometimes when it wants food it make a sound, they do it sometimes just because they are happy. If you play with them they will be much happier! If they make a sort of purring noise then they are very happy, like when a cat is purring. If they make a series of low quick squeaks they are speaking to you and quite relaxed. IF, however, they make a loud high pitched squeak then they are frightened, shocked or very uncomfortable and be careful - they might run. The loud high pitched squeak can also mean they are asking for food, whenever my guinea pigs hear the door open they start squeaking for food. Also it depends who's holding it if its somebody whit an unfamiliar scent it will get scared if its still makes those noises and your holding it try holding it more often it will get more calm and relaxed with you. If they start to squeak you should try to take him out every day and get him use to you and other people holing him so tat dose not mean it sick or some thing is wrong.
I don't know about guinea pigs but i know other rodents like mice and rabbits can die of shock (after being caught by my cat).

Usually if your guinea pig isn't very talkative its because it is lonely and if you don't already have a second pig that should be something to look into because guinea pigs need a friend. Also please help innocent guinea pigs by adopting one from an animal shelter!!!

They can squeak when they are hungry, when they are angry, or when they are wanting attention. There are many other reasons to though.
yes, dont worry if they do. if it is a high piched squeak that means your hamster is scared if it is soft it means come play with me and they also squeak to other hamsters

If your guinea pig has a UTI it's urine may be dark or even bloody. The guinea pig will squeak and cry when going to the bathroom and may drink more water. If this happens call a vet immediately as the infection can spread to other organs.
