It is a defense mechanism. There was a study done showing that throwing feces is a sign of higher brain function. In that study they found that the apes (chimps in this study), that threw poop were also the better communicators in the group. It's hypothesized that our ancestors probably threw poop and led to our ability to speak.
Because it's a defense mechanism. It does sound digusting but it's their only way to protect themselves. So throwing their feces is a way of defending themselves.
Its because they are defending their terroitry.
To warn you off. Its defensive gesture.
real answer- They Throw feces because it is a way to show dominance over you and to show you that they claim territory over that specific area.
Monkeys throw feces when they feel upset or in danger. It is a defense mechanism.

yes, most of the time do poop out of your rectum when you have a stomach virus, or throw up. It is possible not to poop when you throw up though.
Yes, at least as much as any other primate. Since their minds are not as developed as ours, it seems that they could be on the maturity level of a toddler. There are toddlers who like playing with their excrement or would do so if given an opportunity. Then they grow out of it. There are also dogs that like rolling around in dog waste. So given the behavior of other mammals, including primates, it is reasonable to believe that there are monkeys that enjoy this as well.
Of course it all makes sense
Yes, monkeys do crap. well what do they throw at people then at the zoo :)
