It's just that much easier for them to get a drink, rather than having to go spread-eagle with their long legs and bend their necks all the way down just to get a sip of water. Moose also love the water, so it's no problem for them to wade out to the middle of a lake to drink as well as to eat the plants that grow in that lake.

∙ 8y agoThe moose likes to eat the soft luscious plants that grow in or around water. They may enter water to reach plants that have not been eaten, or simply to cool off - especially if bothered by flies.
