Why Cable gets heated when current flows more than its rated current why?

Because if the rated current is lower than the actual current, it causes resistance to the electrical flow which in turn is dispelled as heat.

What are you doing to the electrical circuit in your radio when you turn the radio off and on?

When you turn your radio on and off, you are simply flicking the switch in the circuit, the same as any circuit with a switch in it. When you turn it on, the switch completes the circuit, and current can flow around the circuit.

What Allows electric current to flow though them to devises and components?

Switches either allow the current to flow or turn it off

How do you check the electrical current flowing to my shop?

The best way to check any current flow is with a clamp on amp meter. If you know any electricians they will have one. The meter just clamps on around the service conductor and the meter will read out what the current in the conductor at that moment. The amperage reading is dependant on what is operating in the shop at the time. to find out the total current flow turn everything on and take a reading.

Does a compass turn near a closed circuit wire?

It will if there is current flow

How do mechanical energy becomes electrical energy?

Through a generator I.e. turn the generator which turns the coil around a magnet which in turn creates an electrical current.

What are open circuits?

In open circuits the path for current to flow is broken. If you turn off a light switch, you are "opening the circuit", current flow stops and the lamp goes out.

Why does a switch make a light turn on and off?

The purpose of a switch is to stop and start a current flow in a circuit. The stopping of a current flow in a circuit effects the load of the circuit by stopping its action. Resuming the current flow in a circuit also resumes the action of the load.

Can the current in a electrical circuit be increased by bulbs?

Yes. In normal house wiring, every time you plug in any lamp or appliance, you will increase the amount of current ("amperes" or just "amps") that you draw. The circuit breakers or fuses in your house's electrical box are there to keep you from plugging so many things in that the wire gets hot enough to cause a fire. Just to be clear however, the light bulbs do not create current. They pull current through themselves. Bulbs (and all other electrical devices) pull electrical current in the same way that opening the water valve on your sink pulls a flow of current of water. Your house's electrical service can be thought of as a water hose with the end plugged up. Whenever you let a little of the water flow out (i.e. ... turn on a light bulb) you create a current of water (an electrical current in the case of our light bulb).

Can water be used as an engine?

Yes because water with an electrical current can turn into an energy source.
