Yes, you should be fine. However, there are things you should look out for.
Don't go into certain neighbourhoods at night, and some you might want to avoid altogether, such as Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Croydon. Use common sense, for example if five young guys in matching bandannas come up to you and ask you for your phone, for Christ's sake just give it to them.
Presuming you're American, you might want to be careful about what you say. I'm not saying all Americans are like this, but asking a Londoner slowly if they speak English will end very badly, and saying thing's such as "America saved you in the war" is also inadvisable. London was heavily bombed in the war before America joined and this will be seen as arrogant and ignorant. Also, respect the different ethnicity's in London, there are large black and Asian populations in many areas and London is very proud of it's diversity. Saying anything people might consider to be racially prejudiced against ANYONE will most likely get you shouted at or even beaten up, regardless of who you say it to.
Apart from this, you will be fine to live in London if you use your common sense, and good luck!

∙ 12y agoLondon is most definitely NOT a place to run away to. There are people there waiting for youngsters to arrive who will get them involved in drugs and prostitution or both. Speak to an adult that you can trust and ask for their help if you are unhappy at home. If you don't know anyone, speak to Childline or Connexions depending on your age.
