Physics is the measuring and counting science. Whenever we need to know the properties of something, or when we need to make predictions about it, then we employ our knowledge of physics. Forecasting the weather, or measuring the deformation of a crash car, both involve an understanding of physics. Even timing my boiled egg for 4min 20secs in the morning, involves physics - though I need not understand the mechanisms in detail for it to be a satisfying meal.
Like anyone else who chooses to study a subject that interests them, they go ahead and do it. People are generally introduced to many subjects at school, and they like some subjects more than others, and discover they have an aptitude for it. In that case a question might be, why not go ahead and study it further?
it helps us to understand our world...notice I used the word 'helps' and how and why stuff works!
Study lots of math and physics!
Most people confuse the people studying physics as a physician, which is a medical doctor, but it is actually a physicist.
A physicist is a scientist who has received extensive training in the subject of physics, and has become an expert in it; physics refers to the study of how matter and energy behave.
A person who studies physics is called a physicist
You become a physicist.
Study lots of math and physics!
A physicist is a scientist that specializes in the field of physics, which is the study of the structure and mechanics of matter and energy.
The study of matter in motion is commonly called kinematics.
A physicist is a person who studies physics. The study of Physics is the study of the motion and behavior of all known objects and energy in the universe. A physicist studies physics. Physics is the science of modelling the universe around us in an attempt to understand the universe, and to predict its behavior, by examining and manipulating the model. The term "Physicist" was coined by English philosopher, priest, and historian of science William Whewell in 1840, to denote a cultivator of physics. There are a variety of branches of physics from studies in sub-atomic particles to studies of the behavior of the material of the universe as a whole.
An astrophysicist studies the physics of the universe.
A physicist might study astronomy there, ice quakes, or other physics-based phenomenon to do with the health of planet earth.
You can become a physicist even if you did poorly in school. As long as you have completed the course study needed to get a degree in physics, you can get a job as a physicist.
You study physics to a degree level (or higher) and then do work which uses the specific knowledge - of one or more branches of physics.
Brian Cox is a physicist. He studies astronomy and physics. His known field is Particle physics which is the study of particles referred to as matter and radiation.

No, a physicist studies motion, energy and similar things. An astronomer studies objects in space, though not necessarily the physics of those objects. People who study the physics of objects in space are called astrophysicists.
