One of the tools of peer pressure is making others appear foolish, both to encourage converts to conform, and to keep previous converts in line. If you attack the person directly, you cannot convert them. If you attack his / her religion, you might get a convert. Compare and contrast with the transmission of a communicable disease...

∙ 12y agoIf you are wondering why people make fun of you bc of ur faith, its because its new to them and they probably don't care about what you say bout ur faith or what The Bible says. They probably think tht they don't have the time to have a relationship with him and think tht they will just go to heaven because they are good enough. They laugh because they think Jesus isn't real and don't know what will happen if they make fun of Him. Id rather be blessed than cursed...Theres a story tht ive been told by my pastor.
There was a guy, and he was the captin of the football team and all he would do was laugh and say tht the Holy Spirit was a joke and always made fun of my pastor every time he saw him. So later down the road, the guy died at a consruction site. He was working and a barrel of cinder blocks fell on him and he got crushed and died...*ouch* So, just say away from the people who laugh at you or just keep on telling them bout Jesus.
