∙ 13y agoPeople say hi instead of hello for many reasons. Hi is shorter and less informal. If people are used to you saying hello then simply saying hi might show that your annoyed with them.

it a way of speech so its like some people say hey or hi instead of hello and others might say garbage instead of rubbish bin and stuff like that. wazup is a short word for whats up or hows life or maybe hello even. it can be considered lazy speech as well.
