Why do people swear?

Because they think it sounds funny and it expresses their thoughts to something and usually people think it's bad and are intimidated by the swearer. swearing is horrible and shouldn't be done>

Well, I can't answer for everyone, but I make up swear words like "monkeybutt" or whatever so that I can first, avoid offending anyone (and hopefully instead make them laugh), and second, so that what is coming out of my mouth is more varied and imaginative than people who use the same word to emphasize everything. It gets boring *and* offensive when other people do that, and I don't want to be like that.

If people swear it is often because they have grew up hearing people swearing. On the other hand people just say it because they think they look cool or because they have a very dull vocab and don't have any better words to say, which shows they are not very clever and are extremely impolite.. But if you swear you will grow up like it, which leads into you getting a bad paying job, which often leads to people living on the street. You don't want that to happen? Do you?
