Plants are equipped with a mechanism that allows them to convert the energy from sunlight to chemical requires for plant growth. This occurs through a process called photosynthesis. Here, plants absorb sunlight energy and use this energy to break down complex molecules into simpler molecules that are required for the plants to grow.

Plants need sunlight to complete photosynthesis, which is the process by which plants convert water, carbon dioxide and light to oxygen and energy. This energy is in form of sugar in addition to providing nutrition for the plant, photosynthesis creates oxygen humans and other animals need to breath. it also indirectly provides nutrition to any animals that feed on the plant.

Why do plants cannot survive without sun's energy?

Plants use the suns energy to make energy in a process called photosynthesis. The suns energy is used to produce glucose which provides the energy that the plants need to survive through processes such as respiration and expiration.

Plants use the suns energy to produce oxygen and?

Glucose

Why do plant cells need energy from the sun?

Plants need energy from the sun for food, they do this through photosynthesis which is the cells of the leaves (palisade cells, and inside those, chloroplasts), gathering the suns energy and changing it into glucose. the plant can then use this glucose for food. :)
