guns were created because they were a more powerful weapon than those previous to their invention.
The gun was not designed for evil and it was not designed for good, it was designed to perform a task more effectively.
they are used because they are made for hunting, millitary and for people.basicllay to kill or wound someone or something.
Guns usually provide an instant kill, making them a weapon of choice.
People generally possess firearms for more than one reason, usually a combination of 2 or 3 reasons that motivated them to acquire this gun. Here are a list of reasons that are common.
1-- self protection against criminals.
2-- hunting animals, or self-protection against dangerous animals like poisonous snakes, bears, wolves, etc.
3-- target shooting for sport.
4-- collecting firearms because you appreciate their role in history.
5-- collecting firearms as an investment, to sell them later for a profit.
6-- owning a gun that was given to you by your parents or grandparents or some other relative, and the gun has sentimental value.
7-- you want to commit a crime and choose a gun to assist you in committing robbery, kidnapping, murder, etc.
Simply stated, service members of the US Military, all militaries for that matter, kill people for a living. While the US Military tries not to result to that extreme, perhaps too much so and to the detriment of those who serve, it is the most fundamental fact of military service.
That they use guns specifically is due to the very efficient nature of that particular tool in accomplishing the fundamental purpose of all militaries.
Look at it this way: you are a US Service Member in a foreign land sent to protect people or assets. There you are threatened by several enemy combatants. All you have to rely upon is you, your training, your fellow unit members, and their training, and the primary weapon you all have been issued, the M4 Carbine and the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW). If the enemy combatants who are threatening you are carrying very long, sharpened sticks (pikes or poleaxes roughly 9 meters in length) wouldn't you feel more secure knowing that you could reach out about 491 meters further than the enemy and stop them from causing you and your fellow service members harm or further threatening what you have been charged to protect? I did, and so did everyone with whom I ever served.
