They want load of money
Really weird but my orchestra director told us how......back a long time ago(I don't know how long) when the shows we now call soap operas would play on television, the commercials would always be advertising a type of soap. So that's why people started calling them soap operas. By the way, I don't know how the word opera got there.
I know of some but they are for hindi, bangladeshi, or Indian soap operas one of them being bollyzone.tv and another being BD bangla.com, and the last being amarnatok.com. Some reasons for no websites containing free soap operas are 1) the people can make money 2) no one would be able get all the clips/part/episodes and 3) it might have to be a site that runs on donations by users so there's always the problem that there might not be enough soap opera enthusiasts to help or have the time to help.
The most watched sitcom in Brazil is the Rede Globo soap operas. The show is so popular, many broadcasters advertise for viewers to switch to their channel after the Rede Globo soap operas.
They probably just like it, or it relates to their lives.
Of course! Every soap opera needs a few young children so there is variety of ages.
They have a lot of drama, which many can relate to. Many scenes are cliffhangers, so you want to watch it the next day.
In the early days of TV, these daily serial programs were sponsored largely by soap companies, so they were called "soap operas." Now that expression has been shortened to "soaps."
Although Brazilians do love to watch soap operas and football, they are almost always otherwise out of the house in their free time. They are not shy.
Most movies are shot on film. Soap Operas are shot on video tape.
because they want to be popular Soap operas are built with the audience in mind. They provide great escapism for those wanting to forget there won lives for a bit and also offer support for anyone who has experienced similar things. However for the most part. Soap opera's are just a juicy bit of entertainment filled with love hate sex betrayal and any other shocker you can imagine. The predictability doesn't falter audiences either because they get a sense of community in the world of the soap...
soap opera's are owned by procter and gamble and back in the 20's and 30's p&g mostly made soap (dawn, tide,dial...etc) they now make alot more than that but that is how soap operas got their name.
As of my last update, Gary Windass, played by Mikey North, had not officially left "Coronation Street" for good. Characters in long-running soap operas often have temporary exits and returns, so it's always possible for him to return in the future. To get the most current information, it's best to check recent episodes or official announcements from the show.
