We are all created by God in his image. We are to respect women. I believe it is of a hateful spirit that one culture thinks it is better than the other, or of a man to think that he is better than a woman. The Bible I believe in, tells me that a woman should respect her man. It doesn't say to abuse her, kick her down, insult her, or put a cloth over her eyes so no one looks at her. Or it doesn't say to put a woman to death just because she dances in public! What a hipocritical belief! If you look at nature, I believe you will not find any of God's creatures kicking down, shrouding or belittling their females. So why should we as humans who are much more intellegent think that we must weld their power and control on someone else? I believe the answer to that is, women are not treated equal because of the culture a person is raised in. It's right up there with being a racist. As a child growing up, people hear their parents or their peers saying negative things about people of other colors, then they grow up believing what they've learned from their parents and having hatered in their hearts toward other races of people. When in fact, people of other colors have done absolutely nothing to them to cause that person to think the way they do! It's that person's belief system formed in the way they were raised. So maybe, for you to think that women should be treated differently, should be put down, silenced or anything other than equal to men...Maybe it's the way you were raised. Maybe you should be more open in your thinking, and consider that God is not about keeping people down, he's not about accusing others. The God I know is only about Love. So maybe next time you feel superior to someone else, think about where your stinking thinking is coming from. It's not from the God I know. In God I trust! A Man.

Some christians give equal roles to women because Catholics taught that god created men and women at the same time, Catholics also teach that only men can be priests because the appostles were all men however Liberal Protestants believe men and women have equal roles in religion because Jesus had women deciples. This is not the case wit Traditional protestants because they believe only men should be religious leaders because the Bible teaches this.

Hope this helps :) xx
