Why do jack Russels bark so much?

well, since dauchshunds are small dogs, like my mini-dauchshaund, they tend to be more fierce. they either know they are small and need to be more aggresive or it is just a trait all small dogs get. it is normal for dachshunds to bark alot. mine dog barks randomly sometimes, it kinda funny actually. and puppies especially bark alot, as well do many puppies

Dogs bark because they have not been trained not to bark. It may be what they want however; you must train your dog the correct way. Train them so they know their name first. This is done by praising them when they look up at you when you call them you say in a very happy voice "Good -----" Pet them and hug them. When you call their name and they do not respond ignore them. Never hit an animal!! Once they know their name and recognize their name and you you can start training them to NO. All you have to say in a stern angry tone is "NO !" and they will stop whatever they are doing that is not wanted. Use only one word commands ex. their name, come, No, keep it simple and direct. Animals learn most by the infliction of your voice they want to please you and do not want to anger you. Reward with praise and love. DO NOT give treats! If you start giving treats they expect one everytime and what happens if you don't happen to have any bisquits with you?? So kind words including their name "Oh Your A Good Boy-------" is all you need. As soon as they bark say NO in an angry tone it may take a few days but when you say NO and he stops praise and hug him and he'll not bark anymore.
