∙ 13y agoI think it's cause they're bored with their marriage. They've grown tired of the same old way of life with the same woman they already know everything about. When they meet a new person they're physically attracted to who seems decently interesting it's a little exciting. Maybe their current marriage didn't turn out the way they expected. Maybe they're hitting a midlife crisis & this new person makes them feel kinda young cause he feels a little curious & shy around her like when he was younger & around girls or possibly he wants a challenge, to see if he can get to know her & if she likes him. It could be any number of other reasons but that's the first stuff that comes to my mind anyways.

- He may have come to realize he never really loved the person he married.
- He may have been too immature to get married and has become bored in marriage or does not want to put work into the marriage because of his immaturity.
- Financial burdens; not mature enough to raise any children there might be or job problems can cause him to look for other women in his life.
- Wants his freedom back and does not have the backbone to be honest with his spouse.
- Enjoys having more than one woman in his life.
- When there are a few problems in the marriage some men become 'runners' rather than face the problems at home. To them it is far easier to go after other women than to stay home and try to resolve any problems the couple may have.
- Men in their early 40s and on may feel they have missed out on life and want to regain their youth back by finding younger women who they feel are attracted to them. The man wants to capture the magic back in his life.
- Some men are just addicted to love and do not have a clue what real love is.

If they go and jump off a cliff, is he going to jump off, too?
