Its on driverside right above clutch pedal a Phillips screw holding it in place and just plugged in
i think, depending on the year, that problem is caused by a factory defect.
headlights
Fuse for parking lights probably blown.
What year is the vehicle? Did you check the fuse?
Dodge Rams are not equipped with Daytime running lights.. Although what you can do is turn on the parking lights and select just your fog lights (if equipped) otherwise to have running lights you will need to turn on your headlights. It's not a huge advantage to have running lights, because when the climates come that you need to turn on the headlights anyways, they aren't necessary.
Well, the daytime running lights are on whenever the car is running and in gear. They're off when you have the headlights on. So, your service light Doesn't come on when the headlights are on?? If you switch the headlights between on and off (with the car running and in gear) does the service light follow?
Replace the fuse with a test light Turn on running lights (test light should illuminate) Remove bulbs one at a time Check fixtures until test light goes out - this will indicate area where short is Further investigate wiring in this area
If your car has daytime running lights (standard in Canada) then the only way to turn on just the parking lights is when the car is in park or neutral, the light switch is in the park light position and the parking brake is on. Then the headlights will turn off. Any other configuration means the headlights will be on. On this car, parking lights can truly only be used when parked!
Try applying parking brake
