the big one is so big because it blocks the entrance to the shell when they retract into it to help protect them. it is also used to climb and for defence. the small claw is for grooming and eating.
It is because it is a male or boy.Females or girls have two regular sized claws but males have one larger claw unlike its other in which it uses to attract females. If a female likes the size of the males claw it will then create offspring or children. If you notice little white balls around there den it is because they eat the dirt and spit out the salt. That is why some fiddler crabs have bigger left claws and not right.

The small one is mainly used as a "spoon" to scoop up food, and the big one is mostly used for climbing and pinching, but they both serve that purpose.
The big claw shows what arm/claw they are dominant in. They also use that claw for "hunting."
All hermit crabs do although some species have more similar sized pinchers than others.
So get food
Eight legs, and two claws.
You can tell a fiddler crab's gender by its claws. A female fiddler crab has two claws, the same size. A male fiddler crab has one large claw and one small claw.
No, they both have two claws. One large one and one small one.
Crabs don't have fingers. The have two claws and six legs

just like any other crab the male is the one with the big claw.. and the female has two smaller claws
I dont think there is a sport with two different sized goals!
You cannot tell the gender from their claws or color. You must look for the presence of "gonopores" at the base of the last pair of walking legs. Gonopores will be on the female crab they look like two small dots. Look up "hermit crab gonopores" for a photo reference.
both have 10 legs , but , lobster's the front three pairs bear claws , and crab's front two legs sometimes use for walking but mostly for eating.....
I think they have have 6 legs including the pinchers. But many loose a leg or two during their lives.
Not exactly, they are related in that they are arthropods. They are two different creatures .
Eyes on stalks, a hard shell covering the back and other limbs, two front-positioned claws, 6 (?) legs.
