Why are there so many levels government?

so that each can have their own responsibility and they will not interfere in every matter. It is an easy way to control the government because each branch knows what they are suppose to do and the burden of responsibilities is not on only one group.

I think we have 3 branches of government to prevent tyranny and so there will not be a lone dictator, because people didn't want a dictator.

If your talking about the different branches of government (legislative, judicial, and executive) then the reason why we have them is so no one branch gets too much power and becomes corrupt (balance of power). This is kept in check by a system of checks and balances.

Executive, Judiciary and legislature. They are there to distribute power evenly and they help organize the government by each level or branch doing their own job. The executive branch enforces the law the legislative branch makes the laws and the judical branch interprets the law.
