Why do weasel's live? everything has a purpose weather it benefits humans or not but in the case of a weasel unless you have small farm animals (such as chickens) weasels are great to have around your yard, they kill and eat almost all rodents and unlike these rodents have no interest in being in your house.
I'm just shooting here, but I think it just might be because there aren't very many left.
