In my years I've had a number of cars begin to vibrate while accelerating no matter the surface. However, I want to trouble shoot some quick areas for you and maybe help you identify some possible causes. First, tie rods. these go bad on every car including yours and if you drive bad or your S.O. drives bad then its a good bet they need to be replaced. To find out if those are bad, one test is if you can move the tire and the steering wheel doesn't move or vise versa. It will always be a slight thing. But up to 70 mph it makes all the difference in the world. Next, bad wheel bearings. Unlike tie rods wheel bearings will be loose in an up and down rocking motion, tie rods only rock front to back. Think of a shopping cart wheel. And of course is the vibration in your butt or in the steering wheel, cause this will determine if it's in the front tires or the rear. And how long has this been going on?

I think they all do this to a greater or lesser degree. Especially in high gear at low RPM. Really bad vibration might be the engine mounts.

My minivan was doing something very similar. Does the vibration/wobble stop when you let off the accelerator? Try coasting down a hill without touching the gas pedal; if the vibration stops when you let off and then starts again when you push on the gas pedal there's a good chance the vehicle has worn-out motor mounts. I was skeptical when my mechanic told me this, but after he replaced the mounts on my '92 Voyager 3.3 liter there was a huge improvement to the wobble/vibration that I had.
